About Us
Our Background
We started off as a group of friends looking for additional fun activities to have in our awesome town of Allegan, Mi; We decided to host a fun winter run, in which we can raise funds for particular charities and also promote healthy, fun activities for all of Allegan and surrounding areas! Allegan Ugly Sweater 5K was born! 2021 will mark our 7th year for the event with only taking 2020 off due to Covid restrictions! Our Charity for 2021 is Allegan's Wings Home.

Our support team consists of many volunteers, who selflessly spend many hours putting together this exciting event.

About our Charity
The Wings Home is an end-of-life care home that
provides compassionate care in a home like
atmosphere to Wings of Hope Hospice patients
during the last days of their lives.
There is no cost to live at Wings Home.
Volunteers and staff provide 24-hour care.

Our Race Course
The official course of the Allegan Ugly Sweater 5K has been found to be an exciting course for all levels of runners/walkers. Course starts and finishes at the beautiful Allegan Riverfront. Start of race will route over the historic 2nd Street Iron Bridge with a course halfway point you will not find anywhere else! Water and Hot Chocolate (and even a cookie...) willl be available at the half way point. Race concludes with a nice finish downhill back into the downtown area, finishing through our Christmas tree lined start/finish line.
